QuickTime

QuickTime is Apple's "multimedia" product. It is primarily used for audio/video streaming (like movies on the web), but can also be used for videoconferencing.

458 QuickTime TV conferencing broadcasts
545 Older QuickTime service
554 (standard) RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol), the default port for streaming movies over the web.
6970 - 6999 (standard) RTP (Real Time Protocol), used in QuickTime v4.
7070 RTSP running at a non-standard port in order to make it easier to get through firewalls. The standard QuickTime Streaming Server supports RTSP both on this port and 554.

Notes

Older version of MacTCP would allocate dynamic ports starting at 256 rather than 1025 like all other machines, so older clients will have ports in the low range.
